CureAbroad was founded after a simple, frustrating observation: patients travelling abroad for medical care routinely arrive to find hidden fees, unverified surgeons, and prices that change at the clinic door. Brokerage layers add markups without adding trust. We believed the internet could do better — that an autonomous, verified marketplace could put pricing power and safety back in the patient's hands.

To make world-class medical care abroad as transparent, safe, and predictable as booking a premium hotel — with verified clinics, real surgeon profiles, itemized all-inclusive pricing, and milestone-based escrow that protects every payment until the work is done.
How the verification system works
Every clinic on CureAbroad passes a multi-step trust audit before going live. No clinic can appear in search or accept a booking until each stage clears:
- Accreditation check — we verify JCI or equivalent national accreditation against the issuing authority, not self-attested documents.
- License verification — every listed surgeon's medical license is checked against their national medical council.
- Escrow validation — clinics must connect a verified payout account before funds can be released.
- Review integrity — reviews are only accepted from patients with a confirmed, escrow-backed booking, so feedback is always tied to a real transaction.
A marketplace, not a broker
CureAbroad is a marketplace that connects patients directly with clinics and practitioners. We do not employ the surgeons, own the clinics, or practise medicine. We provide the discovery, verification, escrow, and coordination infrastructure that lets patients and providers transact safely. Clinics set their own prices, availability, and inclusions — what you see on a listing is the provider's real, itemized offer.
